Ben Hoare (Somerset) calls himself a ‘nature nerd’, and writes and edits natural-history books and magazines for the BBC, DK, Pan Macmillan, the Natural History Museum and many others. For 10 years he was features editor of BBC Wildlife Magazine and he is now on the steering group for New Networks for Nature.
He is well known for his books for children and collaborations with leading illustrators - An Anthology of Intriguing Animals and Wonders of Nature are international bestsellers. His latest children’s book is Nature’s Treasures (November 2021), a nature table in book form. He has also written or contributed to many wildlife books for adults, such as Animal Migration: Remarkable Journeys in the Wild.
